Dry Start for Spring....

Unlike previous years, this Spring started dry and warm.
Hopefully, with such good start we will have a bountiful year!
We know for certain the rhubarbs are enjoying this weather.
Grow rhubarb grow!

A savory twist to sweet potatoes...
For this dish, I placed 3 sweet potatoes into the food processor.
Then they were sauteed in the pan with just a touch of butter,
salt, pepper, and sage.

See what happens when the dogs goof off....
What in the world are you two doing in there?
Where are the sheep?!?

Another nice spring veggie to enjoy...Swiss Chard!
Most people in my family didn't like Swiss chard before because of the
tart after-taste.
This dish certainly changed their opinions on Swiss chard.
A bunch of Swiss chard cut to 1" pieces,
stir fry the stems in the pan with some oil, diced garlic, and lemon zest.
Let the stem cook for a while before adding, the leaves,
lemon juice and salt to taste.
(This particular photo has kale in the pan as well.)

Of course, our newest addition to the farm...
Piggies! Meet Tigress on the left and Miss Spot on the right.
This photo was taken right after they were let into the coop.
5 minutes afterwards....they turned the whole place upside down!

Not to be upstaged by the pigs...
the sheep gave birth to a triplet just this weekend!
Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!
Yes dear. Yes dear. Yes dear.

Oh dear...can I get some help here?!?
Three is too much for Rosemary to handle all by herself!
