What's Happening on the Farm in Mid-Winter....

Newest fashion for sheep.
Too rainy outside...so sheep get innovative in ways of having FUN indoors...

Lotus onion anyone?
Just cut the onion into 8 sections without cutting all the way through,
let the onions sit in some olive oil and balsamic vinegar to coat thoroughly,
place onion into baking pan with spaces in between each onion for them to spread,
sprinkle with salt and pepper,
cover with foil bake in oven at 425F for 25-30 minutes,
uncover foil and bake for another 10 minutes,
and done!

Radish salad or appy
This recipe works for many different veggies such as kohlrabi, daikon,
cauliflower heart...etc.
Slice, dice, or julienne the radish,
sprinkle with little bit of salt,
drizzle with some sesame oil,
top with cilantro...
and voila a very appetizing side dish!

Our new puppy is growing up...VERY FAST
My! What big ears you have Carmie!
She loves to play chase with Mozart but most of all
she likes to go bug Izabelle.

Brr Winter is Here...
and ALL We Got is 2" Snow Cover...

Mozart overlooking this sad thin layer of snow...wondering how is he going to cool off this winter....

Hey! Who are you? Do you like snow too? Meet our new puppy - Carmie!
She's our backup for Izabelle. Don't be deceived by her small size,
she is one feisty puppy!

This is how you play in this white thing...dip and roll!
Carmie looks on as the pro does his demonstration.

And who are you?!? Woof! Woof! Woof!
Carmie loves to challenge Izabelle everytime she goes outside.
As for Izabelle? - "Who is this little pest?!?"

Izabelle says, "go away already!"
Izabelle doesn't take kindly to ANY dogs...she tolerates Mozart....
these two will need a lot of time to build a better relation.

Chickens need gravel...dogs too?!?

From our furry troopers to you....

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!
